It's hard to believe we've been in our new home in Brampton for two months and that baby Hudson is over a month old. The first few weeks after Hudson was born were a bit difficult due to April being rushed to the hospital a few times for bleeding issues, but both mom and baby are doing much better now. We are still running on very little sleep, and life seems a bit more hectic due to smaller living quarters with a bigger family. However, we are very excited about how the Lord continues to bless us and open new doors in ministry.
Here's how you can pray for our family and ministry:
Pray for Jeremy's health. He has had several flare-ups of pain over the past few months, and lately he's been struggling with a lot of arthritis pain in his hands and feet. We're not sure if this is related to the parasites or not. He's scheduled to see a doctor next week, who will then refer him to a specialist. Please just pray for his healing so he can focus on ministry and family without distraction.
Please continue to pray for *Joshua from Pakistan and our partnership with him. We now have three (and possibly two more) Pakistani men who are meeting with Jeremy every week for mentoring/training/prayer. Another man who was in leadership with Campus Crusade in Pakistan has had to flee for his life and is now living with Joshua in his small apartment in Brampton. He has decided to work with us in reaching South Asians here. The both of them recently introduced Jeremy to yet another Pakistani man living Brampton who has a reputation for being a great evangelist. These men are now meeting with Jeremy every Friday evening and they have plans on starting several new churches. Please pray for this small but growing band of Pakistani brothers as they try to reach out to Muslims, Hindus, and Sikhs in our area.
Pray also for Jeremy's catalytic group that meets on Thursdays. There are four men in this group as well and they are each planning on starting their own church planting teams in various areas of Toronto. This team is expanding as well. Please pray for a new unit from our company that will be coming soon (depending on medical clearance) to join us. Also, a young lady from Missouri who has a heart to reach Muslims who will be here in a few weeks on a vision trip. Pray that there will be no issues that keep these two new units from coming to Toronto and joining us in ministry.
Please continue to pray for the new church plant in Brampton at Ebenezer/Gore. We have three mission teams coming in May and we will be pounding the sidewalks in search of "persons of peace" and engaging lostness in that community. We are also wanting to continue our outreach to the children in our old neighborhood in Mississauga in hopes of starting a new church there as well. *Joshua will be the lead planter in both of these areas. Pray for him as he and Jeremy develop cp teams for both of these areas.
Continue to pray for the Nepalese church in Toronto, that they will continue to reach lostness and strengthen as a local church. Pray that Jeremy can reconnect with other Nepalese groups soon.
We value your prayers and encourage you to help us find others who are willing to be on our prayer partner list. Please send us the email addresses of others who would like to receive our updates. Thanks!
We are going to post just one photo of our newest baby boy -- can't help it! He's one-month in this photo....
